Cleaning, resetting, and repair of monuments and gravestones with period-appropriate methods.
Monuments and gravestones are history you can put your hand on, and they are easy to damage with the wrong care. We work to a simple rule on this: do no harm. Everything we do has to help the piece last, not speed up its wear.
Repointing and patching close the joints between stones with a matching material. Cleaning is done gently, with mild detergents and soft brushes, and no more than once a year so the surface is not worn down. Where the stone is porous we follow with a water repellent, and we keep a record of what was cleaned, with what, and how the piece was holding up.
Tell us what you are seeing and we will take a look. The owner does the estimates, and you get a straight read on what the job needs.
