Repointing, parging, and lime-plaster work for rubble and cut-stone foundations.
Old stone foundations give a house its character, and they come with problems newer ones do not: water intrusion, mortar that has turned to sand, and past waterproofing that trapped moisture instead of moving it. We start by getting the water handled, then bring the masonry back.
That usually means repointing the joints between the stones with a matching mortar to restore both the look and the structure, and parging or lime-plastering the interior face to create a breathable layer that lets the wall dry and keeps the space behind it drier.
